The 1st Davao Bloggers Walk – A SUCCESS! (Part 1)

21 06 2011

There were 21 Davao bloggers who attended the said Bloggers’ Walk. It was indeed a joyous event.

Davao Blogger Officers

It’s my first time to see most of them… At the start, there are hesitations to mingle, but of course, in a short while, hesitations are gone. It’s fun to walk with them even we’re not that close yet, but soon, we will be more acquainted. πŸ™‚

So, the assembly time is supposed to be at 1PM. I arrived at quarter to 3PM. (Sorry for that…) Anyways, I caught up with them. Hmmmmmmm, being new to the group, I’m glad that at Osmena Park, each blogger introduced their names and blog sites. It’s a chance to see the persons behind those Davao blog sites. It was one of the first steps of the Walk after the assembly at the Rizal Park.

Inside the Museyo Dabawenyo

Then, we went to Museyo Dabawenyo for a short history course of how Davao became Davao. As with this site, silaabdabaw.wordpress.com, it wants to showcase things that are unknown to most residents, domestic and international tourists – the visit to the local government museum is indeed a must see for all. πŸ™‚

After the museum walk, we went to San Pedro Street and tasted the street foods. PART 2

Thank you for the invitation… πŸ™‚ actually, what we did is just a superficial walk of Davao’s history… πŸ™‚ I’m looking forward with the tour davao activity.. I hope we can visit the Japanese traces of Davao’s history in Mintal and Calinan. πŸ™‚
