LAMDAG PARADA: Electric Light Parade of Davao City

14 01 2012

“Lamdag Parada is the city’s version of the world-famous Electric Light Parade and will again feature holiday lights on elaborate floats.  Escorts of the competing floats shall be required to wear Christmas-themed costumes.” – from DAVAO TOURISM.

I actually missed this part of the Pasko Fiesta sa Dabaw since I have my hospital duty yet I am pretty much thankful that it was shared to me by my friend. So, here it is…

Just like the introduction, it is the version of Davao City of the world’s famous electric light parade. The concept of the parade may be similar outside the Philippines, yet you can see the creativity of the Dabawenyos in creating the small and large floats with parade-expressed Christmas character.

It is really fun to be in Davao City! As the Davao City’s branding says, “LIFE IS HERE!”

This electric light parade of Davao City every December will be an event to look after. Just like the Araw ng Dabaw and Kadayawan every year, Pasko Fiesta sa Dabaw will attract more tourists to visit the city and experience how it is to be in Davao City: the Wow City. 🙂

Enjoy and have fun!

Madayaw!
