I have my entries for the Saranggola Blog Awards or SBA 2012 which has two categories to win a prize; one is through the judges and second is through likes in facebook. 🙂 Saranggola Blog Awards is a literary contest in Filipino language. It is composed of literary writing for maikling kwento (short story), kwentong pambata (children stories), tula (poem), sanaysay (essay) and larawan (photo). This year’s theme is about LAKBAY or JOURNEY/TRAVEL. Among the categories, I joined under 3 categories; it includes in tula, sanaysay and larawan. 🙂
Here is my entry for the photography:
Its title is Ang Rampa de Walis with the following captions: “Di lahat nang lakbay ay gala, kung minsa’y, ito ay panininda.” In which, it is translated as not all journey is travel, sometimes it is selling. You can click on the photo and like it on facebook. 🙂
Here’s my essay entry:
It is entitled, “Ako si CJ, Laking Davao!” It is an essay highlighting Davao City and the region as a peaceful place to be that can offer nature’s best, culture and history. Though its history on the Japanese settlement before World War II has not been expounded. This essay wants to present a brief view of the Japanese touch in Davao City. This essay aims to make Filipinos know that Davao City may not have the colorful Spanish arts and culture as to churches and buildings; it offers colorful Philippine-Japan friendship that can be seen until today. Just click on the screenshot and feel free to like it on facebook. 🙂
Here’s my entry for the poem:
It is entitled “Lakas Loob”. This poetry wants to present a Filipino positivism amidst the challenges in life. Feel free to click the screenshot and like it on facebook. 🙂
The like point system of the contest doesn’t affect the judges’ decision. But these literary works want to be shared and like to many to help inform the beauty of our country, people, nature and history.
Silaab hopes for your support. 🙂 Click the photo or screenshot, read and like it on facebook.
Thank you!
Madayaw!
